Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. In Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding these situations. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
