Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen is my name and I'm a Vietnamese American Entrepreneur living in Orange County California. My amazing partner JP, and my happy-go-lucky Dad Henry are also part of our clan. My Instagram account is @annephung and most people follow me. I share my daily life, positive and negative. I came to America with my brother and parents at the age of one and a half years old I would not be here sharing my life with you if it weren't since my parents were devoted to dedication and hard work. In the hope of having the best life possible I was determined to try my best to please them, and was focused on achieving my goals. My mind knew what the plan was for life. You go to college and get a degree. Be married. Buy a house. Have kids. Although I was convinced that this was the standard for the ideal life, reality had other goals. In 2013, my job as a corporate employee was something I dreaded. Money and status did not bring me joy. I felt I wasted my life to earn a paycheck. I had a passion for working out and I enjoyed being social and helping others while I walked the new direction in my life. I discovered my passion for personal training. It was in 2014 that I started my own small business and I will celebrate the 7th anniversary of my company by 2021. There are few Asian women working in this industry. As a coach, my goal is to encourage others to live a healthy and fulfilled life through creating sustainable lifestyles that cater to the individual's goals and needs. Additionally, I want to encourage others to go after their dreams and do anything and everything they want to achieve in their lives. My career exploded as I was experiencing the most success of my life. My mother passed away just when my professional life began to fall off. To be in Heaven she rests now in peace after a long battle with the disease known as Scleroderma. However, I carry my Mom with me and dream of her daily. There is a lot we can learn from the world, even if we might not be able to spot it in the moment. My loss has impacted my life in many different ways. I believe my death provided me with an opportunity to begin a new chapter. In the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she passed away. The time was right to go on to her next chapter as well as my opportunity to lead an authentic and satisfying life. The thing I'm feeling now in my 30s is an experience of aliveness and awareness. It feels like I'm truly living instead of just being. As I share the story of my journey, it's in the hope that others are able to relate to my experiences and thoughts. To know that they're not on their own. Also, that there exists genuine love. Therapy is necessary and is not uncommon. Finally that the health of your body is the most valuable thing you have. Only one life is yours. I wish you to live it to the fullest.
